Friday 8 May 2020 will mark the 75th anniversary of the end of war in Europe. The day has been designated by Government as a Bank Holiday to enable communities to come together to join in the "VE75" celebrations.

Chichester District Council is encouraging Parishes to find their own locally appropriate ways to mark the anniversary, and is making up to £250 available per Parish to assist with preparations.

Details of the application process for parish/town/city councils is available on request.

As per Government guidelines due to the COVID-19 outbreak, national and community events that were planned for the weekend of Friday 8 to Sunday 10 May 2020 have been cancelled.
