Get your free 'Support Local' business pack

We want to support our local businesses as much as possible in the run up to Christmas, and so we have launched a campaign that encourages residents to Shop Local, Spend Local, Support Local.

If you're a business in the Chichester District, we'd love it if you could get involved in and use the campaign to build your profile and encourage people to shop with you in the run up to Christmas.

Why should I take part?

The more people who participate in the campaign, the greater impact it will have. Not only will this hopefully benefit your individual business, but it will also help support our fantastic towns and city, and encourage people to support local.

We have produced special Christmas gift tags and recycled Christmas wrapping paper for each of our key high street areas - Chichester, East Wittering, Midhurst, Petworth or Selsey - which you can give to your customers, or use for window displays and gift wrapping services. By requesting a free 'Support Local' marketing pack on this page, you can find out how to request tags and wrapping paper, and we'll also send you social media assets and other tools to promote your business as part of the campaign.

What does the free marketing pack include?

We have created a free marketing pack, with a range of different digitals assets tailored to promote the city and each of our key retail towns:

  • Chichester
  • East Wittering
  • Midhurst
  • Petworth
  • Selsey, and
  • The Chichester District

The pack will include:

  • Social media graphics for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for your area
  • Details on how to access free printed wrapping paper and gift tags for your area that you can give to customers, use in window displays, or make use of as part of a gift wrapping service
  • Digital poster for your area
  • Details on how to add a digital profile frame for your area to your Facebook or Twitter account
  • A4 and A3 gift tags designs that you can print and use as decorations

To request a pack, simply fill in the form on this page and we will email this to you.

Using the business pack and campaign hashtags

This campaign is a great chance to raise the profile of your business and encourage shoppers to spend with you. It's also a chance for you to promote any offers or competitions you may be running.

For example, if my business was @CDCgifts and it was based in Chichester, I could take pictures of the different gifts I sell with the 'Love From Chichester' gift tag, along with #LoveFromChichester, to encourage new and existing customers to visit my shop.

I would also use the social media graphics on my channels, use the A3 printed gift tags as decorations and for point of sale, and promote how I am giving away free campaign gift tags and wrapping paper with each purchase.

Using one of the following campaign #hashtags on your social media channels can boost visibility:

  • Chichester — #LoveFromChichester
  • East Wittering — #LoveFromEastWittering
  • Midhurst — #LoveFromMidhurst
  • Petworth — #LoveFromPetworth
  • Selsey — #LoveFromSelsey
  • Chichester District — #LoveFromChichesterDistrict
