Christmas opening times
The council closes at 2.00pm, 23 December 2022 and will not reopen until 9am, 3 January 2023 so some of our services will be affected during this time.
Please take note of the following information which applies to the Christmas and New Year period.
Parking Services offers
Chichester District Council is encouraging people to shop locally and pay for their parking using contactless payments where possible. In December we will be introducing the following:

MiPermit is the easier way to pay for parking inthe Chichester District, via the app, by phone, text or online.
- Select two hours and get the third hour free in the majority of our council owned car parks across the district when using the MiPermit app.

Please take note of the following opening times which applies to the Christmas and New Year period for Mipermit, so some of their services will be affected during this time.

Residents and all other on street permits
To avoid disappointment, when renewing, applying for, replacing or updating a registration on an existing permit, you must do this prior to 12 December 2022.
Please make sure that you provide/upload the necessary documentation to enable us to process your request as quickly as possible. Permits will be posted to you 2nd class post if applicable.
Whereas we will always do our best to respond to you, if your request is received after this time we may not be able to process the permit until 6 January.
During the period from 12.00pm, 22 December 2022 to 9am, 3 January 2023, we will be unable to:
- Create new permits
- Renew permits
- Change vehicle registration marks
- Replace lost permits
For Zones E, F, G, H, H2, J, K, L, M, N and O, please remember that without your permit displayed clearly in your vehicle, you are not entitled to park in the Permit Holder bays and you should find alternative parking.

Parking bay suspensions
Requests for Bay Suspensions must be received by 16 December. Payment must be received by the 19 December, to enable us to produce and display the signs. We may not be able to process requests received after this time.

Dispensations
