You can report a missed bin up to 48 hours after the scheduled collection.
The collection point for your general waste and recycling bin/s is just inside your property boundary at the nearest point to the public highway/road.
The collection point for your garden recycling bin is outside your property boundary so the bin is clearly visible.
There may be a number of reasons why we did not collect your bin.
We will not return to collect if:
- • Your bin was not presented at the correct collection point by 6am.
- • Your general waste or recycling bin/s contains items we cannot accept.
- • More than 48 hours has passed since your scheduled collection.
Once reported, we will investigate the missed collection and get back to you as soon as possible. If any of the above have been highlighted as a reason for non-collection, we will not return to make a collection. The crew will normally put a notice on your bin to advise you of this. All of our vehicles are fitted with CCTV cameras, which help us to see what's happened on the ground. If we find that your bin was presented in the right place at the right time we'll be back within seven days to empty it.
