Vegan wellness shop now open in Chichester thanks to council's Pop-Up Shop initiative

A vegan wellness shop which hopes to help people buy more sustainably sourced and produced products has opened in Crane Street, Chichester. The shop has opened thanks to Chichester District Council's ongoing Pop-Up Shop initiative.

A new building that is providing much needed short-stay accommodation for people facing homelessness has received a prestigious award recognising its high-quality design.

As the new Cabinet Member for Culture and Events, I thought it would be worth giving you a flavour of some of the many events and activities on offer throughout the district this summer.

Don't miss Chichester's Summer Street Party this Sunday

With just days to go before the return of Chichester District Council's popular Summer Street Party, shoppers and visitors are being reminded not to miss the celebrations on Sunday 9 July between 10am and 4pm.

We all understand how challenging it has been for Midhurst residents and businesses since the fire in March, so it is such good news that the road through the town has now been reopened to vehicles. Let's all think about how we can support Midhurst over the coming weeks

Telephone system

From 28 to 30 June, we will be switching to a new telephone provider. Although we're not expecting any issues, there is a chance of disruption to our phone lines.

Midhurst fire update from West Sussex County Council (23 June)

With work to shore up the fire damaged buildings in Midhurst now complete, West Sussex County Council, as the Highways Authority, will re-open the A286 North Street to two-way vehicular traffic by close of play today (Friday 23 June).
