Apply for Home Repairs Assistance

Please note that your application will not be considered valid unless accompanied by the following:

1. 1. Two competitive quotes for all relevant works with any necessary plans and specifications;
2. 2. Details of any preliminary services and fees
3. 3. Proof of ownership (The Council with endeavour to obtain this on your behalf from Land Registry, but if it is not available you may need to arrange to complete a council Proof of Ownership form);
4. 4. Proof of any necessary Building Regulation Approval and/or planning permission/listed building consent required.
5. 5. Proof of owners own building insurance.
6. 6. Written consent to works being carried out from any owners who are not grant applicants
7. 7. A decent homes assistance occupation certificate
8. 8. Written evidence, on original paperwork, either of a qualifying benefit or of household income and capital.

Please note the approval of assistance will not be issued until any necessary building regulation approval, planning permission or listed building consent has been received, and copies of any such permissions have been submitted.

Please note: the Council cannot guarantee funding until an application for financial assistance has been approved. If you choose to start works before receiving an approval please be mindful that funding may not be available.
