Busking terms and conditions

  1. Busking is only permitted once a slot has been booked and confirmed.
  2. Busking shall not be carried out within 75 metres of another busker. If another busker arrives for their booked slot, you will need to move to enable them to perform.
  3. Busking shall not be carried out for more than 30 minutes at a time at any one location after which you shall move on to another location not less than 20 metres from that location.
  4. If instructed by a police officer or officer of Chichester District Council you shall stop busking immediately a complaint is received.
  5. You must show your registration, and booking slot confirmation, to a police officer or officer of Chichester District Council when requested.
  6. You shall cause no obstruction either to members of the public or to private premises.
  7. You shall comply forthwith with any directions, or requests, by a police officer or officer of Chichester District Council.
  8. Any amplification shall be kept to a reasonable level and the amplification will be immediately reduced in level or turned off if requested by a police officer or officer of Chichester District Council.
  9. No motor vehicles or structures of any size shall be permitted in the highway in connection with busking.
  10. No sales of pre-recorded music tapes or CDs will be permitted, unless under the authority of a Street Trading Consent .
  11. This registration can be withdrawn by the Chichester District Council at any time
  12. I understand and agree that the personal information I have submitted with this application will be shared with relevant partners for the purpose of processing and managing busking registrations and bookings within the Chichester District. Such partners include, but may not be limited to, the police, Chichester BID, and Chichester City Council.
