Budget consultation

The Council has a statutory duty to prepare a balanced annual revenue budget.

A meeting of the Council on 25 February 2025 will consider the budget proposals for 2025-26 as recommended by the Council's Cabinet at its meeting on 11 February 2025.

For 2025-26, Chichester District Council is proposing to set a council tax charge of £192.06, an increase of £5.58 on the charge for 2024-25. This equates to a 2.99% increase, or 10 pence per week.

The Council's revenue budget requirement for 2025-26 is £20.438m. Further details of the budgets proposed for 2025-26 can be found in the following Budget Spending Plan:
