There are a number of local organisations that provide advice and training solutions for those running or contemplating running a business:

Chichester College

The Chichester College is located within central Chichester and offers many post 16 courses for full and part time students. Qualifications such as NVQ, GNVQ, OCN, OCR, BTEC, GSCEs, AS and A-levels as well as Adult Education are just a taster of what the college can offer you.

Business School

Located at Chichester College, Chichester Business School offers a range of courses to help you further your career.

Apprenticeships

Funding is available for the following people:

Adult Apprentices are those aged 25+

We can offer work-based training with college study sessions that vary in duration from one day a week to three hours once a month depending on the vocation being followed. We have adult apprentices in the following areas: Early Years, Health and Social Care, Dental Nursing, Engineering, Business Administration, Team Leading and Management.

Apprentices and Advanced Apprentices are for those aged 16 to 25

The majority of apprentices follow a day release programme working towards the same qualifications as the adults but at a slightly slower pace. We offer Apprenticeships across 17 different occupational areas. These apprenticeships vary in length according to the programme followed. A learner must be employed to access the Adult and Apprentice qualifications.

Unemployed

For those who are unemployed we can offer training to help them towards work: Level 1 Apprenticeship - A one year course where learners work towards completing a CV, interview techniques and a Level 1 NVQ with two Key Skills at Level 1

Entry to Employment for those who are not yet work ready

This 22 week course will help those age 16 -18 to gain the skills to make them ready for employment.

Train to Gain

This is employer led funding to allow employees to gain there first Level 2 qualification. The delivery mode is work-based although some occupational areas do have college attendance at workshops for underpinning knowledge. This training is offered across a wide range of vocational areas.

Commercial Opportunities

Chichester College can offer a wide range of bespoke short courses for professional development. Flexible delivery both on and off site. These courses include Team Leading, Health and Safety, Management.

The College are also able to deliver Learn Direct course. Please access their website to see the range of courses on offer.

If you would like to deliver training to your own staff away from the working environment Chichester College have a range of conference rooms available to hire.
