These are promoted by the District Council and are operated on the Council's behalf by Bray Associates.

Since August 2016 the Wednesday Market has been located in the North and East Street precincts for a one year trial  and  many new stalls have joined the market.

For the Wednesday Market Bray Associates  have been granted a Street Trading Consent which permits 50 market stalls and sets out the conditions under which the market operates.  The market is now operating to capacity but there is still potential for new stallholders to join.

Stalls include green grocers, general  and outdoor clothing, shoes,  handbags, belts, scarfs,soaps, garden plants, flowers,  jewellery, bread, cakes, sweets, cheese, fresh fish, olives, eggs, sausages, coffee, greetings cards and paper, hand-made cards, fudge, coffee beans, hand-made cushions, household goods, garden plants,  e-cigarettes, watches, phone accessories, tool sharpening,  crockery and kitchenware, pet food, disability scooters and hot food/catering.
