Pay your business rates

Business Rates are payable over 10 instalments on the 15th of each month from April to January (additional instalment dates of 1st or 25th are available to direct debit payers). Alternatively you can request to pay half yearly or annually.

You can pay your account in a number of ways:

  • Payments can be made monthly on the 1st, 15th or 25th, or once or twice a year.  Any direct debit payment requested for payment of business rates, will be shown on your bank statement as CDC REVS.

Debit card by telephone

Payment can be made using your debit card. Please call the automated line on 01243 534880 to make a payment. This is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Please ensure you have your business rates account number as shown on your bill ready to quote. Please note you cannot pay your business rates by credit card.

Please ensure you quote the business rates account number as shown on your latest bill.

Pay your business rates by 12 monthly instalments

You can request that your business rates instalments are paid over 12 months for the 21/22 financial year. Requests to pay over 12 months must be received by 1 April 2021 in order to start your new payment plan in April 2021. For requests received after this date the number of instalments will be 11 or the number of whole months remaining to March 2022. Please note ratepayers already paying by 12 monthly Instalments will be extended automatically and are not required to make a fresh application each year.
