Rogate Community Governance review

Notice of a community governance review of the parish arrangements for Rogate.

  • Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007
  • Local Government (Parish and Parish Councils) (England) Regulations 2008

Chichester District council has agreed to undertake a community governance review of the parish arrangements for Rogate with regard to decreasing the number of Parish Councillors that sit on Rogate Parish council. At present, it has 13 Members but the parish council has requested a decrease to 9 members.

Section 79 of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 allows the council to undertake a community governance review of the whole or part of its area. The council is not proposing a major review of parish arrangements within the Chichester District at this time.

The council is now undertaking the first stage of the review process and residents and interested organisations are therefore asked to give their views on whether they would support the decrease in members from 13 to 9.

Your representations and comments should be sent to:

    Chichester District Council
    East Pallant House
