The Liberal Democrat candidate, Dominic Merritt, won the Chichester District Council by-election, which took place on Thursday 1 May to fill a councillor vacancy in the Midhurst Ward.

This May half term, history will burst into life as Chichester Roman Week returns - offering the chance to uncover the secrets of the city's ancient past with a week of hands-on activities, epic storytelling and live action thrills.

Community groups, local businesses and parish councils are set to benefit from an enhanced grants scheme, which has been launched by Chichester District Council and aims to support projects that drive economic growth, improve places and spaces, or build stronger communities.
