You can only appeal against a council tax charge if you are named on the council tax bill or a representative of the person liable. Any appeal must be made by one of the names shown on the bill.
The law states that we have 2 months to provide you with a decision on your appeal. If the decision remains unchanged, or, you have not received a reply within 2 months you can then appeal directly to the Valuation Tribunal Service.
If you want to appeal against your council tax banding, then you must appeal directly to The Valuation Office Agency, who are responsible for the banding of properties for council tax purposes.
