Local Plan latest news

On 3 May 2024, the Council submitted the Chichester Local Plan 2021-2039 to the Planning Inspectorate for independent examination on behalf of the Secretary of State.

The Local Plan submission documents, supporting documents and evidence can be viewed here.

The latest updates on the examination process, including future hearings, will be published here by the Programme Officer. 

The submission of the Local Plan follows the Regulation 19 consultation, which took place between 3 February and 17 March 2023. Representations received have been published and can be viewed via the consultation portal. All representations have been passed to the Planning Inspector to inform their examination.
